She has been serving as part-time Interim Priest at Holy Cross since July 2010. Her Interim positions before Holy Cross were at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Sapulpa, OK; Grace Episcopal Church in Muskogee, OK; and Christ the King Lutheran Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Prior to moving to Oklahoma, Pastor Jenny served as Senior Pastor of Salem Lutheran in Port Lavaca, Texas, and Associate Pastor at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Ft. Worth, Texas.

First Career
Prior to Seminary, her first career includes 16 years of experience in business-to-business marketing and communications, including 12 years in the plastics/petrochemical industry and four years in the advertising industry. Her last position in the business world was Vice President of Corporate Marketing for Huntsman Chemical Corporation. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from North Georgia College in Dahlonega and her Masters of Divinity from The Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. She was ordained September 12, 1999.

Pastoral Gifts and Passion
Pastor Jenny describes her top five leadership skills in the areas of Administration, Sharing Leadership, Worship Leadership, Stewardship and Ministering in Crisis.

When speaking of her core convictions she says, “I believe each of us has a purpose in life and responsibility to live it out to the best of our ability seeking to discern God’s leading in that purpose. Christian theology shapes our lives in a way that we become a receptacle for the gift of faith and faith development. I believe there are many false doctrines in Christianity that skew theology and make doctrine life-taking rather than reflecting the life-giving nature of the gospel. My sense of call comes from a passion to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to help others put on the armor of Christ, and to build community and outreach.”
